Magic
exists with people and horses. The trained and trusted horses
at HorseAbility bring confidence, smiles, and laughter to
our riders. Our mounts are selected and trained according
to the special needs of the client. Each horse has a quiet
and dependable disposition, a comfortable gait, and years
of experience both with skilled and unskilled riders.

We
have many horses working with our program. Most of the horses
have been with our program for five or more years (and some
have been here since the beginning of HorseAbility)! |
Allie
“Halleluiah”
was generously donated to our program by Sue McDonald. This
mild tempered, kind hearted mare is well schooled in dressage
and has been helping various students master their riding
skills on the flat. |
 |
Archie
His
easy going nature has made Archie a true asset to the program.
He loves his job, helping out in hippotherapy sessions as
well as riding lessons. |
 |
Bear
This
petite pony known by his owners, Erica and Tom Chillemi, as
“Barely There” was recently donated to be used
in our Ketcham ride school, therapeutic riding, and hippotherapy
programs. He has made a tremendous growth and become an essential
piece to our facility at Ketcham Farm. His youthful pizzazz
makes for a great ride for many of our beginner to advance
students on the flat, as well as over fences. |
 |
Beau
Beau, a roan quarter horse was generously donated
to our program by one of our instructors, Pam Holbrook and the
Bruskin family. He is used in the therapeutic riding program
and teaches many of our walk, trot, canter riders. Although
being aged, this young-at-heart equine is a great mount for
beginner through advanced riders. |

Buttons
This
pony may be small but his personality is bigger! He is eager
to please and enjoys anything from flatwork to jumping. His
enthusiasm is contagious; you will certainly find yourself
smiling after you’ve spent time with Buttons. |
 |
Diamond
This
outgoing thoroughbred is always the first to greet HorseAbility
clients and volunteers. He is well known around the barn as
a true sweetheart who brings out the best in his riders. |
 |
Gryffindor
"Ten
points for Gryffindor!" Gryff is a true blue companion.
Beloved by volunteers, staff and leasers he is a comfortable,
reliable horse who is a pleasure to ride and spend time with.
Gryff is on loan to HorseAbility by Denise and Camryn Ryder. |
 |
Hughie
Hughie
was generously donated to the HorseAbility program by Jane
Schwartz. Standing tall at 17.2 hands, this Irish Sport Horse is
easily recognizable in a crowd. But it is not just his great
stature which makes him memorable. Hughie’s hardworking
nature and big heart have made him the perfect mount for our
therapeutic riders and volunteers. |
 |
Juliette
This
beautiful mare competed in upper level dressage before joining
the HorseAbility family. She is very patient and loves the
kids. She always gives 110% whether she is working in lessons
or with her leasers. |
|
Mona
Mona
is a prestigious Jr.hunter horse who was generously donated
by the Phillips Family. Along with her vast background and
training, Mona’s strong character and powerful will
helps bring our riders to an extraordinary level of horseback
riding. |
 |
RobinHood
The
latest addition to the HorseAbility program, RobinHood brings
years of experience as a three foot hunter to his riders.
His kind attitude makes him an excellent teacher for both
beginner and advanced students. |
|
Topaz
Despite
only being 13.1 hands, Topaz is a favorite among our students.
He is a golden palomino and works in HorseAbility’s
therapeutic riding and hippotherapy program. He does not just
teach our beginners, but also takes our more advanced students
to hunter/jumpers, dressage, and combined training shows. |
