Relationships built with horses promote the connection between intuition and feelings which carry over into association with family and community.
REJUVENATION
Refreshment of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual strength in a calm, tranquil setting that allows for healing and growth to occur.
RECREATION
Time spent with our horses offers a unique activity within a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere that enhances health, independence and personal well-being.
As a Participant
Participants directly benefit from the program by partaking in the equine-facilitated activities. Equine-assisted therapy incorporates therapeutic riding with experiential psychotherapy concepts to encompass life issues with those that may arise during time working with our horses. Treatment plans are developed incorporating both therapeutic and personal goals.
As a Volunteer
Volunteers assist participants through horse handling, leading and/or sidewalking with riders, and offer support to staff, horses and participants. Volunteers with military background and/or strong horsemanship skills are ideal.
