Phase Stages

Below is the outline for our phasing transition for re-opening (*timelines subject to change based on any state and/or federal guidelines)

Phase 1 – Current Phase - Will be limited to specific unmounted programs that require little to no direct contact between participants, staff, and/or volunteers in which participants are independent under supervision such as prevocational programming.

Phase 2 – (Part A) Projected June 7th - Will permit lessons for ground and/or independently mounted lessons and/or require no "hands-on" assistance such as fully independent riders (Part B) Projected June 13th – Will permit direct therapy services of Hippotherapy OT/PT/SLP for participants that require less/minimal “hands-on” assistance for physical support and/or manipulation for all activities, safety, and/or balance.

Phase 3 - Projected June 15th (based on state regulations) - Will permit lessons requiring minimal assistance including leaders/spotters for ground and/or mounted lessons that require minimal "hands-on" assistance such as adaptive riding lessons.

Phase 4 – TBD (based on state regulations) – All programming will resume including lessons that require the full hands-on assistance of a therapist/instructors and/or volunteers.

Projected timing will be confirmed directly with families, participants, and volunteers by our staff according to which phase you/your family member is eligible to return.

We have set policies and protocols to address COVID-19 at the farm in order to support the safety and well-being of everyone that participates in our programs. You will receive an introductory packet from the appropriate department which reviews guidelines and everything that is necessary to begin your transition back to HorseAbility.

Our office is open with our staff available for any assistance needed via email and/or calls. Visitation to the farm remains restricted at this time.

We will continue to monitor, re-assess, and update everyone as more information, guidelines, and anticipated positive change is announced.
