VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
HorseAbility is seeking a part-time Volunteer Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to making an impact within our growing organization. We’re looking for an energetic and dedicated person who enjoys working with a diverse group of people and has unique skill sets that support the education and growth of our volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Maintain Volunteer attendance, procedures and other administrative responsibilities
Oversee Volunteers during their scheduled shift
Coordinate Volunteer scheduling with Volunteer Program Manager
Assist and support the Volunteer Program Manager with Volunteer recruitment, onboarding processes, trainings and continuing education
Motivate and encourage all Volunteers during their scheduled shift
Qualifications:
Undergraduate (preferred)
PATH certification (preferred)
CPR and first aid certified for humans (preferred)
Extensive experience with horses
Experience in handling horses and equine care, e.g., grooming, tacking
Experience with management
Experience working with a diverse group of individuals including individuals with special needs
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Self-motivated, compassionate, energetic, highly organized, be creative and thoughtful in the coordination and provision of volunteer opportunities.
Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Communicates clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form.
Effectively presents information to a live audience of varying sizes
Works cooperatively as part of a collaborative team on cross-functional programs, projects, and activities.
Strong technology skills, including MS Office suite, Google technology, Salesforce a plus

RIDING INSTRUCTOR
HorseAbility is looking for a part time Riding Instructor to join our team. Applicants have strong interpersonal skills, 3+ years of riding instruction experience, strong horsemanship skills, familiar with and/or comfortable working with individuals with special needs and PATH certification a plus. Our riders range in age and ability, from beginner to advanced riders.
